This meeting was an opportunity for both parties to discuss issues of interest to media and journalism, including ways to strengthen cooperation between MAP and FANA with regard to training journalists from the agencies affiliated with the Federation.
In this regard, Mr. Hachimi Idrissi expressed the agency’s readiness to share its expertise with FANA through training sessions in economic and sports journalism, information technology, photography, media companies management, and female leadership strengthening.
In this sense, he pointed out the need for a new and modern generation of training in journalism to address the new developments in the media landscape.
MAP’s Director General and President of the Atlantic Federation of African News Agencies (FAAPA) invited Mr. Ayar to attend the 6th General Assembly of the Federation, scheduled for the first week of October.
For his part, Mr. Ayar praised MAP’s significant and rapid evolution and its choice to diversify media products, calling it a “first rank” agency.
In a statement to M24, the agency’s 24-hour news channel, he stressed the importance of boosting the activity of MAP within FANA, as it is one of its founding members.
