Royal Speech: A Call to Establish Permanent Structural Bond with Moroccan Community Abroad

Rabat – The speech delivered Saturday by HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People is a call to establish a permanent structural bond with the Moroccan community living abroad, said Scholar Omar Cherkaoui.

In this speech, the Sovereign has emphasized the importance of stronger ties with this community, through the consolidation of communication on a permanent basis, while presenting it with the assets available in the country of origin in order to contribute to the development and investment process, the political analyst told MAP.

The royal speech has also stressed the need to establish a legislative and institutional framework that can meet the aspirations of the Moroccan community living abroad, he added.

For Mr. Cherkaoui, “this institutional reform must take into account the particularities of this community.”

On the Moroccan Sahara issue, the researcher noted that the royal speech is a clear message to countries that still opt for ambiguous positions on this vital issue for the Kingdom.
