In an interview with MAP, Salem Cherkaoui said that the summer camps for the benefit of the children of Al-Quds are placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
He noted that this is a gracious royal gesture with high humanitarian dimensions, which perfectly embodies the noble values in which Moroccans believe, under the enlightened leadership of HM the King, to strengthen the humanitarian ties that unite the Palestinians and Moroccans for over a thousand years.
The official said that the High Patronage granted by the Sovereign to the rising generations of Al-Quds, through the action of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, focuses on supporting schools, houses of culture and arts and children’s centers, as well as associations and sports clubs and summer camps, which benefit about 3.
The program also includes support for schools, cultural and arts centers, children’s centers, sports clubs and associations, and summer camps, which benefit about 3,000 children per year in the city of Al Quds, while 50 children visit Morocco annually, in the framework of summer camps, which have totaled 650 beneficiary children throughout the different editions.
“Through these humanitarian and social initiatives, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, the operational arm of the Al-Quds Committee, sows the seeds of hope for a better future in children, the future generations, and this in execution of the High Royal Instructions to implement social projects that have a direct impact on the inhabitants of Al-Quds”, he continued.
In this respect, he assured that the enthusiasm of the families of Al-Quds for the registration of their children in summer camps is an eloquent proof of the success of this pioneering social experiment.
“I am a witness. When I visit the city of Al Quds and I meet some of the beneficiaries of summer camps in Morocco, I see that they want to decorate their homes with the Moroccan flag and photos of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, as well as with Moroccan handicrafts,” said Salem Cherkaoui.
