Marrakech: Maroc Radar Children Summer Camp Wraps Up with Eclectic Evening

Marrakech – An eclectic and colorful evening was held Thursday evening in Marrakech, closing the summer camp 2022 children of the staff of the Moroccan News Agency (Maroc Radar), a summer break placed this year under the sign: “Let’s develop our talents”.

Enhanced by the presence of the Director General of MAP, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, this evening comes to close a rich and varied program of recreational, educational and artistic activities organized, 10 days during this summer camp.

The closing evening which began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the performance of the national anthem by the children who benefited from this initiative, took place in a friendly and good-natured atmosphere for the joy and pleasure of all participants and the audience.

It was embellished by a series of musical and artistic performances presented, with brilliance, by the children of the staff of MAP, ranging from music, singing and choral, through theater, dance and poetry among others.

Speaking on this occasion, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi said he was proud to be present at this evening, the time to share with the children of MAP, their joy and this friendly atmosphere that marked this summer camp, which took place in excellent conditions and very positive in terms of supervision and organization.

Hachimi Idrissi has, by the same occasion, addressed his thanks to the organizers and educational staff and supervision for their tireless efforts to ensure that the participating children can enjoy a series of edifying activities, varied and constructive, and spend their vacations in a good atmosphere.

“What is very important and what we expect from this camp is your feeling of belonging to the same family: To the natural family of course, and to the professional family to which your parents belong,” said the DG of MAP.

He continued that this is a move by MAP and its Foundation to illustrate the special interest in cultural, social and recreational activities for the benefit of the Agency’s staff and their families.

“Since the Foundation started its operation, we have opted for a single motto namely: High quality services. […] That’s why we work to preserve this motto and we are so proud of it every time the opportunity arises because, our commitment is to give our children the best we have”, concluded Hachimi Idrissi.

In a statement to M24, MAP’s 24-hour news channel, the Secretary General of the Agency, Rachid Boumhil, welcomed the success of this eighth summer camp for children of the staff of MAP, noting that this summer break is an opportunity for children to experience moments of joy, relaxation and fulfillment.

After recalling that this summer camp comes after two years of break due to the COVID-19, he praised the friendly atmosphere and excellent organization of this camp as evidenced, he said, the joy and great satisfaction expressed by the children beneficiaries.

“This camp also provides an opportunity to present and highlight the serious work and quality of MAP and the social benefits that the Foundation offers to all staff of the Agency, “added Boumhil, expressing the wish to see the FMAP succeed in further raising the quality of its actions for years to come.

Raised as an annual tradition and a moment of reunion, this vacation camp for the children of MAP, illustrates, if need be, all the tireless efforts and the special attention that the Moroccan Press Agency through its Foundation, to the welfare and development at all levels, its staff, its executives, and their children.

It also testifies to the importance that the MAP Foundation attaches to the development of creativity among its beneficiaries and to the creation of a real space for exchange and knowledge sharing.

To this end, an enticing and unique program was carefully concocted, with a series of activities combining self-fulfillment, entertainment, and education in the values of citizenship, fraternity, fair competition and mutual respect, as well as the promotion of team spirit.

At the end of this evening rich in color, it was proceeded to the presentation of medals to the various winners (girls and boys) in several sports, in addition to gifts to children of this summer camp.

This summer escape has benefited, this year, some 50 children, including 14 girls, aged between 7 and 14 years.

It was supervised and animated by an educational staff, supervised by a qualified team from the MAP Foundation, and composed of 13 professional pedagogical animation executives, including 10 qualified and experienced supervisors, at the rate of one supervisor for every 5 children, in addition to 3 teachers and coaches specialized in music, theater and sports.

The children benefited from a series of workshops taking into account the inclinations and talents of the young participants (choral, music, theater …), sports activities, swimming sessions, excursions to the playground “Palooza Land”, as well as visits to the city of Marrakech and its region and to green spaces and historical and natural sites of the ocher city.
