Ministry of Higher Education Will Work to Repatriate Moroccan Skills Abroad

Rabat – Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui announced, Thursday in Rabat, that his department will work to repatriate Moroccan skills working abroad, in response to the High Guidelines contained in the Royal Speech addressed by the Sovereign to the nation on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the revolution of the King and the people.

The announcement was made at  a joint press briefing with Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, held following the weekly Cabinet Meeting.

Human resources training requires Moroccan skills from here and elsewhere, to raise the level of education in Moroccan universities, Miraoui said.

Noting that the current statute for teachers does not provide for the integration of academics working abroad, the Minister said, adding that this option will become possible upon the entry into force of a new statute in preparation.

The new statute for teachers-researchers is in its final phase and the legislation will be ready in two or three weeks at most. he explained.
