Locally Heavy Thundershowers Expected on Tuesday and Wednesday in Several Provinces

Rabat – Locally heavy thundershowers (25-50 mm) are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).

Thundery showers of 30 to 50 millimeters are expected on Tuesday from noon to Wednesday (noon) in the provinces of Aousserd, Oued Eddahab, Boujdour, Smara and Laâyoune, said the DGM in an orange-level alert bulletin.

The provinces of Azilal, Fquih Ben Saleh, Béni Mellal, Khouribga, Khénifra, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Al Haouz, Youssoufia, Marrakech, Rhamna, Ouarzazate, Tiznit, Taroudant, Tata, Chtouka Ait-Baha, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Essaouira (interior), Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Sidi Ifni Guelmim, Tarfaya, Jerada, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Berkane, Guercif, Driouch, Khemisset, Al Hoceima, Taourirt, Fez, Sefrou, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Taza, El Hajeb, Midelt and Boulemane will experience thundery showers (25-35 mm) on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m..

These stormy showers will be accompanied locally by hail and wind gusts of 60 to 85 km/h, said the same source.
