Royal Navy Rescues 743 Illegal Migrants of Different Nationalities – Military Source

Rabat – Coast guards of the Royal Navy, on maritime patrol in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, have rescued, from August 22 to 30, 743 would-be immigrants of different nationalities, including Sub-Saharans, Yemenis, Sudanese, Palestinians, Libyans, Egyptians and one Algerian national, a military source said.

These would-be immigrants attempted perilous crossings on board makeshift boats, kayaks and even by swimming, according to the same source.

The rescued people received first care received first aid on board the Royal Navy Units, before being brought back safely to the nearest ports of the Kingdom for the usual procedures, it added.
