MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power Summit Kicks Off in Senegal with Participation of Morocco

Dakar – MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power Summit organized by Energy Capital & Power (ECP), an investment platform in Africa for the energy sector, opened Thursday in Diamniadio, 30 km from Dakar, with the participation of representatives of African countries including Morocco.

Organized under the patronage of Senegalese President Macky Sall, Chairman of the African Union, the summit includes round-table discussions, seminars and workshops, an exhibition and stands of major energy players in the region.

Presiding over the opening ceremony of this meeting, held at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (CICAD) in Diamniadio, in the presence of the Senegalese Minister of Oil and Energy, Sophie Gladima, the Senegalese Head of State, Macky Sall stressed, in his speech, “the need for Africans to be united and the importance of creating strong partnerships on the continent and in the world.”

In this regard, Macky Sall noted that “Africa can not be an object of global geopolitics, it must be a conscious player, a competitor and collaborator with win-win partnerships that advance the sector.
