Moroccans rank first among non-EU foreign workers affiliated with social security in Spain, followed by Colombian expatriates (122,192) and Venezuelan expatriates with 118,147, according to the same source.
The total number of foreigners affiliated with the Spanish social security system reached 2,451,492 people, including 1,605,008 non-EU foreign workers, in the seventh month of the current year, down by 11,398 people compared to June.
Some 879,943 Moroccans were legally established in Spain until January 1, 2022, up 0.8% (+7,184 people) compared to January 1, 2021, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
Moroccans maintained their position as the first foreign community legally settled in the Iberian country.
