Casablanca to Host Morocco-Mauritania Economic Forum on Sept. 20

Casablanca – Moroccan Employers’ Association (CGEM) and the National Union of Mauritanian Businessmen (UNPM) are organizing the second edition of the Morocco-Mauritania Economic Forum, due to take place on September 20 in Casablanca.

This event, which will be opened by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and give new impetus to relations between the two business communities, a statement from the CGEM says.

It will be attended by a delegation of one hundred Mauritanian economic operators representing various sectors, led by the UNPM President, Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Sheikh Ahmed, and member companies of the CGEM interested in the Mauritanian market.

The program of the event will include two panels on the business environment in Morocco and Mauritania and on investment projects in key sectors that can promote the growth of the national economies of both countries, such as energy, agriculture, food, finance and so on.
