Government Determined to Ensure Textbook Prices’ Stability

Rabat – The government is determined to ensure the stability of prices of textbooks, despite the rising cost of paper and printing, said Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch on Thursday.

Speaking at the opening of the Council of Government, Akhannouch noted that this price stability was due to the financial assistance of MAD105 million, granted by the government to publishers.

The Head of Government has, on this occasion, welcomed the success of the start of the school year in the various provinces, thanks to the contribution and involvement of all components of the teaching staff, also welcoming the role of parents and legal guardians of students in the success of the current school year.

He continued that the start of the school year 2022-2023 is of particular importance, as it will mark the effective launch of the roadmap to improve the quality of public school by 2026, in accordance with the results of national consultations.
