The ceremony, held at the Technopolis Institute of Sala Al Jadida, was chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch. It was attended by Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, and Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ghita Mezzour.
The new services, developed by the Directorate of Studies, Cooperation and Modernization at the Ministry of Justice, cover four areas of judicial administration, namely the electronic criminal record, digital repository of judicial staff (database of all lawyers, notaries, experts and translators), electronic payment of traffic fines and a hotline service for better communication between the citizens and all the authorities within the judicial system.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Akhannouch stressed that this project is part of the priorities of the government’s action, given that the digitalization of the administration is an essential means to achieve efficiency and transparency. The Executive has taken the initiative to operate a digital revolution in the various public administrations, he recalled.
For his part, Mr. Ouahbi assured that this initiative aims to implement the project of “digital transformation of the administration”, as a strategic project that stems from the Royal High Directions.
In similar remarks, Ms. Mezzour welcomed the excellent level of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Justice and her department in digital transformation, recalling the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties last July.
