On this occasion, the Australian diplomat expressed his thanks to Talbi Alami for the welcome he received, praising the relations between the two countries based on mutual respect, said a statement by the House of Representatives.
He expressed the willingness of his country to consolidate these relations at the commercial and economic levels, as well as in terms of support for investment opportunities and exchange of experiences in common priority sectors, such as agriculture and renewable energy.
Cutts also stressed the important role of the legislative institutions of both countries to breathe new life into bilateral relations and strengthen the opportunities for exchange and ongoing dialogue.
For his part, Talbi Alami praised the quality of Moroccan-Australian parliamentary relations unaffected by the geographical distance, emphasizing the importance of the exchange of experiences and expertise to achieve a sustainable and constant rapprochement.
He also expressed the strong desire to give a new dynamism to bilateral parliamentary cooperation, “especially since there are many issues of great importance to both parties”.
The speaker of the House of Representatives said that Morocco has always been and remains a hub of peace and stability, a fact among others that Rabat and Canberra share.
This meeting was an opportunity for both parties to highlight the importance of exchanging and institutionalizing visits to strengthen dialogue, consultation and multidimensional parliamentary coordination.
