“On the occasion of this event, we will present the major project concerning the education sector that will be implemented in our country, as well as the Kingdom’s priorities in this field,” Akhannouch told the press at the end of the opening session of the high-level meeting of this global conclave.
Akhannouch will make an intervention, within the framework of this Summit, this Monday afternoon.
The Head of Government also noted that during the general debate of the 77th United Nations General Assembly, which begins Tuesday, Morocco will have the opportunity to highlight its positions on various national and international issues.
The high-level segment of the General Assembly is an appointment of great importance given the energy, food and climate crises that the world is experiencing today, noted Akhannouch who chairs the Moroccan delegation to this event, on the instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In a similar statement, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports Chakib Benmoussa, said that the emphasis is placed on the roadmap that Morocco has developed under the High Royal guidance, which goes in line with the model outlined by the UN Secretary General at the high-level meeting of the Summit on the education transformation.
He noted in this sense that the UN Secretary General António Guterres has stressed the importance of the quality of education and schooling of children, regardless of their status, as well as the need to provide school children with tools to help them fully develop their skills and abilities, said the Minister.
In the same respect, he added that the senior UN official has also stressed the aspect related to teachers and ways to improve their skills.
In his speech, Guterres noted that this summit can achieve its global objectives only by creating a global movement, stressing the mobilization of governments, youth, civil society, teachers, business leaders and donors.
