Economy Ministry Partners with Moroccan Universities to Host WB-IMF Annual Meetings

Rabat – The Ministry of Economy and Finance signed partnership agreements with several Moroccan universities to establish a volunteer program for the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), scheduled in October 2023 in Marrakech.

These agreements were signed at a ceremony chaired by Economy and Finance Minister Nadia Fettah, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Minister Abdellatif Miraoui, and Bank Al Maghrib Governor Abdellatif Jouahri.

These agreements aim to define a partnership framework for the mobilization of about 500 students from the signatory universities, as volunteers, in the context of the organization of the Annual Meetings of the WB Group and the IMF, says a statement from the ministry.

Involving student volunteers for WB-IMF Annual Meetings aims to promote the image of Moroccan youth and highlight its commitment in the country’s important projects and events.

It also aims to give student volunteers the opportunity to live the unique experience of hosting the 2023 edition of the Annual Meetings of the two international institutions in our country.
