Published by “La croisée des chemins,” the book was presented during the closing session of the 4th edition of the French-Moroccan meetings on the development actions in the southern provinces.
Initiated under the theme “Getting out of ambiguity” by the France-Morocco Peace and Sustainable Development Foundation, in partnership with the Ribat Al Fath Association and the Wilaya of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, these meetings took place in Guelmim (19-20 September), Tan-Tan (21 September), Smara (22-23 September) and Laayoune (24 September).
The book is a moment of sharing of the different moments of the writer’s “journey,” where time and space converge and combine, in order to open the paths of knowledge of the territory, while taking the different paths offered by geography, history and law.
Speaking on this occasion, Seillan explained that his book highlights, through history and geography, the territorial integrity of Morocco, which was maintained even under the protectorate.
The French writer and lawyer said the main objective of his book is to make this issue known to readers beyond Morocco, praising the socio-economic and urban development in the southern provinces, including the city of Laayoune.
The 2nd edition of the book takes into account the latest developments on the Moroccan Sahara issue in 2020 and 2021.
