The feature film was chosen among two eligible feature films, under the criteria established by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, to represent Morocco in the pre-selection of the prestigious international film competition that will open on March 12, 2023.
“The Blue caftan” was chosen by a selection committee chaired by Samira Himeur, head of the Division of exploitation and distribution at the CCM.
The feature film was selected for the 75th Cannes Film Festival held in May 2022, under “Un Certain Regard” section.
