Hurricane Ian in Florida: Morocco’s Consulate General in New York Mobilizes to Support Moroccan Community

New York – The Consulate General of Morocco in New York has expressed its solidarity and support to the Moroccan community established in the state of Florida (Southeast United States) hit by the powerful Hurricane Ian.

“Following the difficult climatic conditions experienced by the State of Florida due to Hurricane Ian, the Consulate General of Morocco in New York announces its solidarity and support to the members of the Moroccan community by standing by them to overcome this natural disaster,” said the representation in a statement received Wednesday evening by MAP.

Hurricane Ian made landfall Wednesday afternoon near the island of Cayo Costa, Florida, in the southern United States, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) announced.
