Abdeljalil held Wednesday meetings, in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to Canada, Souriya Otmani, with his counterparts from Spain, Saudi Arabia and Canada, as well as with the Secretary General of ICAO.
The meeting of the Minister with his Spanish peer, Raquel Sanchez, focused on deepening bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of road and rail transport, and support for Morocco in terms of investment in the transport sector.
The two sides also discussed ways to further improve the performance of the Marhaba operation on both sides.
It was also agreed to schedule meetings between experts from both countries to deepen cooperation in the field of transport.
During the meeting held by Abdeljalil with the Saudi Minister of Transport, Saleh Al-Jasser, emphasis was placed on the distinguished bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of maritime transport.
It was agreed to plan a visit of a Saudi delegation to Morocco, to learn about the Moroccan experience in the field of highways.
At the end of their discussions, the two ministers signed a new bilateral agreement in the field of air transport.
During the talks of the Minister with his Canadian counterpart, Omar Alghabra, emphasis was placed on ways to give a strong impetus to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of air transport, through the assistance of Morocco to build a regional hub of civil aviation.
The meeting also discussed ways to share with the Canadian side the Moroccan experience in the use of high-speed rail. The two parties agreed on a visit to Morocco of a Canadian working group.
On this occasion, the Canadian Minister of Transport expressed the support of his country to Morocco within the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics also held a meeting with the Secretary General of ICAO, Juan Carlos Salazar, who expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for the role it. plays in the organization
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange on the strategic objectives of recovery, sustainability, and development of air transport.
