Nigeria, Morocco Sign MoU on Decentralization

Abuja – The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Kingdom of Morocco signed, Friday in Abuja, a memorandum of understanding on decentralization.

The memorandum of understanding was inked on the sidelines of the second edition of the African Sub-sovereign Governments Network (AFSNET) Conference by chairman of the Eastern Regional Council, Secretary General of the Association of Regions of Morocco (ARM), Abdennabi Biioui, and the governor of Ekiti State, chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), John Olukayode Fayemi.

The memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen the capacity of elected officials, exchange experiences in decentralization, communication and cooperation between the regions of the Kingdom of Morocco and the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
