Bab Sebta: Customs Foil Attempt to Smuggle Nearly 39k Euros

Fnideq – Customs operating at the Bab Sebta crossing point foiled, Saturday night, an attempt to traffic a sum of about 39,000 euros, which was not previously declared to the relevant financial institutions.

“The customs services at the Bab Sebta crossing seized 38,900 euros, in possession of a Moroccan resident abroad on board a vehicle registered in France, which attempted to introduce it into the national territory, without a prior declaration to the Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxation (ADII) and without respecting the legal procedures in force,” said a customs source.

The minutes of the hearing and seizure were established by the customs services against the person concerned, according to the legal procedures in force.
