Morocco Dominates 11th Marrakech 10 km International Race

Marrakech – Moroccan athletes Mohamed Bybat (men’s category) and Farkoussi Kawtar (women’s category) won Sunday the title of the 11th edition of the Marrakech 10 km International Race, thus confirming the Moroccan domination on this international competition.

In the men’s category, Mohamed Bybat ran the distance in a time of 28 min 7 sec, followed by his compatriots Hicham Laquahi (28 min 8 sec) and Omar El Harrass (28 min 10 sec).

In the women’s competition, the Moroccan Farkoussi Kawtar has completed the distance in 33 min 35 sec, ahead of her compatriots Soukaina Atanane (33 min 47 sec) and Hanane Bouggad (33 min 50 sec).

Organized by the Grand Atlas Association, with the support of the Wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region, the Council of the region, the Communal Council of Marrakech, and the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation, and in collaboration with “World Athletics”, in addition to institutional and private actors, the 11th edition of the Marrakech 10 km International Race brought together nearly 1,000 Moroccan and foreign professional and amateur athletes.
