UEFA Champions League: Bayern Munich Stroll Past Viktoria Plzeň

Berlin – Bayern Munich won on Tuesday night at home against Viktoria Plzeň (5-0) in the 3rd day of the Champions League (Group C).

Convinced in Milan against Inter (2-0) and at home against Barcelona, Bayern added a third win in C1 this season, despite the absence of Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller, tested positive to COVID-19 on Saturday.

With nine points and a trip to the Czech Republic in eight days, Julian Nagelsmann’s players have all but secured their place in the knockout phase, as their Italian and Spanish rivals, who also won in Plzeň (2-0 and 5-1 respectively), face each other on Tuesday and next week.

With this success, Manuel Neuer’s teammates will be able to face the Klassiker of the Bundesliga on Saturday (6:30 pm) in Dortmund, and could get back Kimmich, Müller and Kingsley Coman, who resumed training this week.
