Amputee Football World Cup: Morocco Edges Argentina 4-0, Reaches Quarter-finals

Istanbul – Morocco qualified, on Wednesday, to the quarterfinals of the Amputee Football World Cup, after its large victory against Argentina (4-0), at the “TFF Riva” stadium in Istanbul.

Fouad Assou’s team opened the scoring through Mohcine Charhar (15th), before Ilyas Sabii doubled the score eleven minutes later.

In the 43rd minute, Mohcine Charhar scored his second and third goal for the national team. Four minutes later, it was Ilyas Sabii’s turn to sign his double and the fourth goal of Morocco.

In the next round, Morocco will face the winner of the game between Turkey and Mexico, scheduled for 18:00 (Morocco time).

The dates for the quarterfinal matches will be announced later.

Morocco is participating for the first time in the Amputee Football World Cup, which is being held in Istanbul from September 30 to October 9, bringing together 24 teams.
