Messi Reveals 2022 World Cup Would ‘Surely’ Be His Last

Buenos Aires – The captain of the Argentine national team and superstar of Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi announced that the World Cup in Qatar would “surely” be the last for him.

“This is my last World Cup. Surely,” said Messi, in an interview with the ESPN-Argentina channel broadcast Thursday.

“I feel good physically, I was able to make a very good preseason this year, which I could not do last year, it was essential to get where I am, with a good state of mind and a lot of hope,” said the 35-year-old striker with 164 caps with the Albiceleste.
