Lower House Deputy Speaker Holds Talks with UK Parliamentary Delegation on Means to Strengthen Economic Cooperation

Rabat – House of Representatives Deputy Speaker on Wednesday held talks with a British parliamentary delegation focusing on means to strengthen economic, trade and cultural cooperation and partnership between Morocco and the United Kingdom.

During this meeting, the Moroccan official reviewed the important projects undertaken by the Kingdom in recent years under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

In this respect, he added that Morocco has a huge potential that could be a lever for the development of economic and trade cooperation with the UK and for the promotion of investment, said a statement from the House of Representatives.

Benomar further pointed out that this meeting is part of the missions of the House of Representatives, namely parliamentary diplomacy, which plays an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation with the States.

In addition, the lower house deputy speaker gave a detailed overview of the cause of the Moroccan Sahara and the autonomy plan as a solution to the artificial conflict around the Moroccan Sahara.

For its part, the British parliamentary delegation noted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to address the challenges facing the two countries and serve their common interests.
