These talks were an opportunity to emphasize the importance of the partnership between Morocco and the EIB and to examine ways to strengthen it, the Department of the Head of Government said in a statement.
The meeting also focused on ways to support the strategies developed by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, aimed at reforming the public sector, accelerating the deployment of the digital transition and simplifying procedures and services of the public administration, the same source added.
On this occasion, Akhannouch welcomed the action of the EIB in the context of the pandemic, by putting in place mechanisms that have accelerated the simplification of procedures for approval of projects and the disbursement of aid.
The visit of the EIB official “comes in a context marked by the particular interest of the government to improve the business climate and the encouragement and attraction of investment, as an essential lever for the promotion of the national economy, through the new investment charter and this, in accordance with the High Royal Directions,” the statement said.
