Fez: Opening of 4th Annual Ordinary Session of Supreme Council of Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema

Fez – The fourth annual ordinary session of the Supreme Council of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema began on Wednesday in Fez.

This session, which will continue until October 20, is characterized by the participation of 250 Ulema, members of the Supreme Council, representing the 34 sections of the Mohammed VI Foundation, including 50 women Ulema.

Gathered in the continuity of the application of the provisions of article 4 of the Dahir constitutive the Foundation, this meeting is part of the unification and coordination of the efforts of the Muslim Ulema in Morocco and in the other African States, in order to make known the values of tolerant Islam, to spread and consolidate them and to integrate the religious values of tolerance in any reform.

This meeting also aims at animating the intellectual, scientific and cultural action related to the Muslim religion in Africa, consolidating the historical relations that link Morocco to the other African States and ensuring their development and the revitalization of the common African Islamic cultural heritage, by making it known and working for its dissemination, conservation and safeguarding.
