Kenyan Delegation Explores Business Opportunities in Tangier

Tangier – A Kenyan delegation visited Tangier recently to explore business opportunities in the region and examine ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region (CCIS-TTA) said in a statement that it received a Kenyan delegation, including the CEO of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Carole Karuiki and the Honorary Consul of Kenya in Morocco Ali Bajaber.

This meeting was attended by president of the Moroccan Association of the Textile and Clothing Industry – North Zone (AMITH) Yassine El Aroud and president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Morocco in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region (AFEM-TTA) Chaibia Balbzioui Alaoui and the representative of the Moroccan Instance of Business Azzedine Tiqa.

Both sides stressed the need to strengthen economic relations between African countries in general, and between Morocco and Kenya in particular, especially in the areas of construction, food industries and textiles.

This meeting was marked by a presentation by the Regional Investment Center of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (CRI-TTA) on the business climate and investment infrastructure in the region, and another one by the Regional Council of Tourism (CRT) on the tourism assets of the region and investment potential in the tourism sector.
