2023 Draft Appropriation Bill: Support for Housing Aims to Boost Real Estate Sector (Official)

Rabat – Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa said on Tuesday in Rabat that the state support included in the draft Appropriation Bill (PLF) of the year 2023 aims to boost the real estate sector.

Speaking at a press briefing for the presentation of this PLF, Lekjaa stressed that the government’s approach is based on encouraging demand through direct assistance to families wishing to acquire housing, to boost the real estate sector which plays an important role in economic development.

It is a direct support especially to the middle class, for housing not exceeding 300,000 dirhams, he said, noting that this measure is part of a logic oriented more towards direct financial assistance targeted to households.

Lekjaa said that this new measure also aims to ensure efficient and targeted use of state resources, in addition to giving the sector, an important economic and social impetus.
