This event, organized by the German magazine Automobilwoche, in partnership with the Moroccan brand of investment and export “Morocco Now”, is intended as a platform for meetings of decision makers and players in the automotive industry worldwide.
The Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, said on this occasion, that over the past 20 years, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has taken a decisive step in terms of economic, social and human development.
In terms of sustainability, the government official noted that the kingdom is among the world leaders in renewable energy, with one of the largest solar power plants in the world, noting that a total of 52 large-scale renewable projects have been implemented to date and another 59 are under development.
“The enlightened vision of our sovereign has made it possible to anticipate very early the transformations that most countries in the world are experiencing today,” the minister noted in his speech entitled “Green energy and competitive resources: Morocco, an ideal location for a carbon neutral industry”.
The need for green and decarbonized energy has become “crucial even vital” for many industries, said the Minister, adding that the Kingdom is now able to provide this energy at costs among the most competitive in the world.
According to him, Morocco is now the most competitive destination for carbon-neutral industries, noting that the Kingdom is among the very few countries in the world where green energy is cheaper than fossil energy.
“This unique combination allows us to offer our partners a decarbonized, constant, competitive and especially stable green energy,” he added.
He underlined that through a new development model, desired by HM the King, Morocco has an ambitious and pragmatic roadmap for the next 20 years, which will make Morocco a regional and continental leader.
With more than 1,800 kilometers of highways and twenty international airports, Morocco offers a first choice industrial platform for economic operators at the gates of Europe, said Jazouli, stressing that Morocco is the first country in Africa in terms of quality of its infrastructure.
