Following a meeting that the president of the Senate initiated with the Moroccan ambassador to Colombia, Farida Loudaya, Roy Barreras stressed the diplomatic relations of half a century uniting Morocco and Colombia, highlighting the abolition, a year ago, of visas for Colombians traveling to the Kingdom.
In a tweet accompanying a video recording, the president of the upper house noted the importance of Morocco as “the second largest producer of urea in the world, at a time when the Colombian agricultural sector needs it so much”.
“This is an important point for strengthening relations between Colombia and the Kingdom of Morocco,” he said.
Roy Barreras also welcomed “trade and diplomatic exchanges (between the two countries) and recognition of the importance of Morocco in the history of our relations, especially with the Arab world where Morocco is a strategic ally through permanent communication between the Moroccan and Colombian parliaments.
