House of Representatives: Adoption in Committee of 2023 Appropriation Bill First Part

Rabat – The Finance and Economic Development Committee in the House of Representatives adopted by a majority on Wednesday evening the first part of the Appropriation Bill for the year 2023.

During this session, 25 MPs voted in favor of the first part of the bill, while 10 others voted against it.

A total of 210 proposed amendments were received from the government and the majority and opposition groups, during this meeting held in the presence of Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, and Minister Delegate in charge of the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa.

These amendments covered several areas, including tariffs and taxation.

In a statement to MAP, chairman of the Committee, Mohamed Chaouki, welcomed the positive climate and the spirit of responsibility that prevailed throughout the proceedings of this meeting, and which were reflected in the various amendments introduced, relating mainly to customs duties and taxation.
