Morocco Hosts Next Meeting of Arab Attorneys General Association

Riyadh – The Kingdom of Morocco will host the third meeting of the Association of Arab Attorneys General in 2023, following a decision taken, on Thursday, at the end of the second meeting held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, under the theme “The link of financial scams and cybersecurity cases with transnational organized crimes”.

Morocco was represented at the second meeting of the Association of Arab Prosecutors General by Mr. El Hassan Daki, Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

On this occasion, Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General, Sheikh Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Mu’jab, stressed that the working papers presented by the Attorneys General, the presidents and members of the public prosecutor’s offices, in this case, confirm the progress that the bodies of public prosecutors of the member states with their partners in international organizations and regional peers, as well as the firm commitment to be in line with the developments and effective results of legal assistance, so as to strengthen the fight against the patterns of these most developed crimes.

At the end of the workshops, he added, “I was satisfied with the pioneering contributions and distinguished experiences that everyone has brought”, highlighting the exchange of expertise and experiences and the knowledge of technical and administrative practices.

The workshops have also allowed the participants to better understand the modern investigation mechanisms in the fight against transnational organized crime, especially the crimes of financial fraud, and to get acquainted with the international frameworks to fight against this type of crime.
