Mezzour, who chaired a roundtable dedicated to the theme of the medicine digitalization as part of the First African Conference on Health Risk Reduction, placed under the High patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, said that this meeting proves that “not only we have extremely important opportunities to seize, but also that our continent is full of experts who are at the forefront of technology.”
Noting that this conference was an opportunity for African experts to discuss progress and trajectories of risk reduction in health, especially in Africa, the Minister said that digitization saves a huge amount of time, including in medicine.
After highlighting the benefits of digitization, especially in the health field and the drug industry, Mezzour noted that the continent is making a great leap into the future of digital.
He also highlighted the skills, especially among young people, which the African continent has in the field of technology.
This session was also an opportunity for a host of specialists representing several countries to address the digitalization of medicine, artificial intelligence in the field of health, pathology and laboratory medicine of the future in Africa, regenerative medicine, experiences in regenerative medicine and robotic surgery.
