Morocco International Horse Racing Meeting: Volver Wins HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix of English Thoroughbred

Casablanca – The horse Volver, ridden by jockey Kacem Faddoul, won Saturday at the Casablanca Anfa racecourse, the Grand Prix of HM King Mohammed VI of the English thoroughbred, held as part of the 8th edition of the Morocco International Horse Racing Meeting.

The horse Volver, which won the race of 2.400 m organized by the Morocco’s Royal Society of Horse Encouragement (SOREC), is owned by Azouz Laaouaj.

The second position of this race, reserved for horses of 3 years and older, went to the horse Comano Fal, owned by Fatmi Ech-Charty and ridden by Khalid Ibba, while the 3rd place was taken by Boldance Fal ridden by jockey Omar Lakjal and owned by Mouhcin Ould-Abbou.

On the menu of this international meeting, fourteen races including eight international. The flagship events are the prestigious Grand Prix of HM King Mohammed VI of the English Thoroughbred and the Arab Thoroughbred (November 20).

This edition, organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, is marked by the participation of 190 horses from 16 countries, including three Arab countries, namely the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
