In an address on this occasion, High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Angel Moratinos, thanked HM King Mohammed VI for His vision and His support which made the Fez Forum a success at all levels.
Moratinos also congratulated the local authorities and the Moroccan government for the successful organization of this international event in record time.
“In only 55 days, we were able to organize this event which was marked by three plenary sessions, eight group meetings, two side events and a fantastic youth forum,” said the UN official.
Moratinos gave an appointment to the participants in the next edition of the Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, scheduled for 2024 in Portugal.
For her part, Director of Cooperation and Cultural Action at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nadia El Hnot, said that the choice of the city of Fez embodies the spirit and essence of the Alliance of Civilizations.
“The will was to focus on youth and Africa in the context of peace and living together,” she noted, stressing that this edition has reaffirmed the political commitments related to the 5 pillars of action: youth, media, education, migration and women as drivers of peace.
