Rogatory Prayers Will Be Performed Tuesday Across Morocco’s Regions, Provinces (Statement)

Rabat – Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced, Monday in a statement, that on the order of HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, rogatory prayers (rain prayers) will be performed, Tuesday at 10:00 am in the prayer areas (mousallas) and large mosques across all regions and provinces of the Kingdom.

“Following the tradition of His revered ancestor Prophet Sidna Mohammed, peace and blessing be upon him, whenever rainfall is scarce, HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God glorify Him, has decided that rogatory prayers be performed in order to implore the Almighty to spread His beneficent rains on the earth as a sign of mercy for His creatures in accordance with the Holy Quran’s verse: +And it is He who sends down the rain after they had despaired and spreads His mercy. +,” said the statement.
