World Cup 2022 (Morocco/Canada 2-1): Fighting Spirit, Collective Game, Decisive Factors of Victory (Regragui)

Doha – The fighting spirit and the collective game are decisive factors that allowed the Atlas Lions to beat Canada (2-1) in the last game of group F and punch, thus, their ticket for the last 16 of the World Cup 2022, said Thursday in Doha head coach of the Moroccan national football team, Walid Regragui.

The national team has shown a high level in the first round, achieving the distinction of qualifying for the round of 16 as the first of its group, said Regragui in a post-match press conference.

Morocco played well in the first half, before suffering a drop in performance at the resumption due to the intensity of the game, noted Regragui, adding that several footballers play despite injury as Noussair Mezraoui and Achraf Hakimi.

He stressed that his group is ready to go further in the competition and make the next generations dream, praising the contribution of Moroccan fans who support the Atlas Lions.
