Morocco’s Qualification for World Cup Quarterfinals: “The Impossible Is Not Moroccan” (Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum)

Dubai – “The impossible is not Moroccan,” said Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State of the United Arab Emirates, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Governor of Dubai, in a reaction following the qualification of the Moroccan national team to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar after beating its Spanish counterpart (3-0) in penalty kicks.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote in a tweet that “the impossible is not Moroccan… The impossible is not Arab… We are proud of you, Lions and men of Morocco. We are proud of you before the world.”

Morocco defeated Spain in a penalty shootout after regulation time and extra time in a 0-0 draw.

Thus, Morocco is the first Arab team to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
