World Cup: OIC SG Congratulates Moroccan Team on “Historic Achievement”

Jeddah – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, congratulated, on Saturday, the Moroccan national soccer team for the historic achievement of reaching the semifinals, after beating its Portuguese counterpart, in the quarterfinals of the World Cup Qatar2022.

In a statement, the Secretary General praised the heroic performance of the Moroccan national team players in that match, wishing them more victories in the next rounds of the tournament.

Morocco qualified for the semi-finals of the World Cup (Qatar-2022), a first at the Arab and African level, by beating Portugal by 1 goal to 0, on Saturday at al-Thumama stadium.

Morocco will face France in the semi-final.
