Cairo – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has hailed the historic qualification of the Moroccan national team to the World Cup semifinals (Qatar-2022), as the first Arab and African team to reach the Golden Four in the history of the World Cup.

The “CAF” published on its Twitter official account more than one post to celebrate the historic qualification of the Moroccan national team for the Golden Four of the World Cup in Qatar.

About the goal scored by Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri against Portugal, which led Morocco to the historic qualification, “CAF” said: “A golden header in the net marks the historic qualification for Morocco.”

CAF said that En-Nesyri became the historic scorer of the Moroccan national team in the World Cup, with 3 goals (one in 2018 and two goals in the 2022 World Cup).

The “CAF” also praised the Moroccan goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, who continued his momentum, and kept his nets intact for the third game of the World Cup.

The Atlas Lions’ winning was scored by Youssef En-Nesyri in the 42nd minute of the match.
