World Cup: Fighting, Group Spirit Key to Reach Final (Coach Regragui)

Doha – The fighting and group spirit are the keys to beat France on Wednesday in the semi-final of the World Cup, said the national coach Walid Regragui.

“The French team is full of great players and has a coach of great caliber. The players are eager to play this semi-final and get the ticket to the final,” he said at a press briefing held with the midfielder Ilyas Chair.

The national team continues its journey in Qatar with the same rage to win, he said, noting that “we did not get tired” and that “the players are still hungry”.

“We are confident in our talents and physical and mental abilities to beat the world champion and write a new page in the history of the World Cup,” he said.

“The dream of winning the World Cup is growing day by day. We are determined to create a surprise and reach the final,” he said.

“The national team will not be satisfied with reaching the last four. We must change the mentality,” he said, noting that Morocco will play Wednesday for Africa and the Arab world.

Regarding the injuries in the national team, Regragui stressed that the bench of the Atlas Lions has players who can replace any absentees, noting that all players are ready to play against France.

“We will not change our strategy against France. We will run and press the opponent, as we have done before,” he added.
