The prisoner in question had previously started a hunger strike because of her case before the courts, noted the administration of this prison in an update in response to information relayed by the electronic press about the health of this prisoner, adding that she has received the necessary medical care by the medical staff of this institution.
“After announcing the end of her hunger strike, she was transferred to the public hospital until her health improves, where she is currently in a normal state,” said the same source.
In addition, the administration of the prison stresses that “regarding the so-called inability of the inmate to walk because of his hunger strike, it is an unfounded allegation,” saying that “the concerned walks normally inside his room, and it also moves on foot to the visiting room to enjoy the visit of family members.
Regarding allegations of malnutrition, the administration emphasizes that “the prisoner has a balanced diet provided by specialized catering companies, as is the case for all residents of the institution.
According to the same source, the prison administration has allowed the prisoner, at her request, to bring in plastic food boxes, noting that she has never filed a complaint in this regard.
