Errachidia Province: Four Workers killed, One Seriously Injured in Artisanal Mining Site (Local Authorities)

Errachidia – Four workers died and a fifth was seriously injured after falling to the bottom of a chasm of 40 meters deep, in a mining site in the town of Taous, said local authorities in the province of Errachidia.

Immediately alerted, the local authorities and elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection went to the scene to conduct operations and rescue, noted the same source, adding that the injured worker was transported to the regional hospital in Errachidia to receive the necessary care.

A judicial inquiry has been opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor to clarify the ins and outs of this accident, it concluded.
