Government Council Extends State of Health Emergency until Jan. 31

Rabat – The Council of Government, meeting Thursday, decided to extend the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the country until January 31, 2023.

At a press briefing held after the Council, Government Spokesman Mustapha Baitas said the Council adopted Draft Decree 2.22.1045 presented by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, extending the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory.

This project aims to extend the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory, from Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 18h to Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 18h to continue to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of measures taken by public authorities to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, said the Minister.
