Morocco Reports 55 New COVID-19 Cases over Past 24 Hours

Rabat – Morocco reported 55 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry of Health and Social Protection on Friday in its daily bulletin, indicating that 69 people recovered from the virus.

The ministry also said a total of 24,917,872 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, that 23,418,604 received two doses, while 6,867,788 people had three injections of the vaccine and 58,065 received the fourth dose.

This brings the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco to 1,271,548, said the same source, specifying that the number of recovered people has risen to 1,254,769, representing a recovery rate of 98.7%.

These new cases were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (25), Casablanca-Settat (16), Souss-Massa (05), Marrakech-Safi (02), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (01), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (01), the Oriental (01), Fez-Meknes (01), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01).

As for COVID-19-related fatalities, their number remained at 16,294, with zero cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

Active cases numbered 485, with two severe or critical cases reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 11 cases.
