Maroc Radar Ombudsman Portal Launched

Rabat – The portal of the ombudsman of the Moroccan News Agency (Maroc Radar) was launched on Wednesday, on the occasion of the convening of the Board of Directors of the Agency, marked also by the presentation and approval of the 2020-2022 report of Maroc Radar ombudsman.

Available on the address “lemedialogue.map.ma”, this portal is a means to make contact with MAP ombudsman accessible to the greatest number, not only in Morocco but also abroad, where both the network of MAP agents and Moroccans of the world can be found.

Available in three languages (Arabic, French and English), the ombudsman’s portal provides access to various sections presenting, in particular, the history of the institution of the ombudsman, MAP in dates, the status of the ombudsman, as well as the book “Figures of the Moroccan press”.

This website also allows to consult the 2020-2022 report of MAP Ombudsman, which was adopted during the Board of Directors meeting, held under the chairmanship of Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and in the presence of MAP Director General, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi.

Presenting his report to the Board, MAP ombudsman Driss Ajbali said that the Agency, in deciding to create the function of ombudsman, has included the latter in a global strategy that it has been conducting in a determined manner for ten years.

“The primary motivation of MAP seems to participate in a desire to strengthen its ties with its public,” noted Ajbali, who presented, at the same time, the various questions he received in the context of his mission.

For Ajbali, the arrival in January 2020 of the ombudsman at MAP is seen as a further step in building the new strategy initiated by the Agency over the past ten years.

The renovation and innovation of MAP products were framed by a whole architecture of mechanisms dedicated to the management and rigorous monitoring of projects and management of this enterprise resolutely committed to the adaptation of information to the technological and digital revolution that the world knows, he stressed in his 2020-2022 report.

He referred, in this regard, to the governance bodies of MAP, “which ensure, each in its own area, the smooth running of the Agency,” citing, in particular in this context, the Board, the Editorial Board, the Joint Management Board and the Strategic Committee of technology monitoring.

The Board of Directors of the Moroccan News Agency has approved the action plan and budget for the year 2023, as well as the moral and financial report for the year 2021.
