Bangladesh Commends HM the King’s Great Efforts to Protect Al-Quds

Rabat – The ambassador of the Republic of Bangladesh to Morocco, Mohamed Shahadat Hussein, expressed his country’s appreciation for the great efforts made by His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the head of the Al-Quds Committee for the protection of the holy city and the support of Palestinians.

Shahadat Hussein, who paid a visit on Thursday to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in Rabat during which he was informed of the work and activities of this institution in Al-Quds, said that his country, a member of the Al-Quds Committee, welcomes the great efforts that His Majesty King Mohammed VI is making at the head of this committee under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to protect Al-Quds and support the Palestinians, said the Agency in a statement.

During his meeting with officials of the Agency, the diplomat particularly praised the memory of the late HM Hassan II, may God rest his soul in peace, who multiplied the initiatives to unify the efforts of the Nation around its questions, which the Palestinian cause is at the forefront.

For his part, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, gave a presentation on the Agency’s latest achievements in light of its report for the year 2022.

In this regard, Cherkaoui pointed out that the Agency has been able, during the past year, to implement projects in Al-Quds worth 3.2 million US dollars, divided between the sectors of social assistance, restoration, urban planning, education and health, support for sports activities, youth and children, projects to protect the intangible cultural heritage of Al-Quds, the documentation and publishing program and the protection of the collective memory of the Holy City.
