Agreement Signed with Education Unions Paves Way for Development of Profession, Improvement of Teachers’ Status (Gov’t Chief)

Rabat – The minutes of the agreement signed Saturday in Rabat between the government and the most representative education unions, allows to move towards a unified status for education and paves the way for the development of the profession and the improvement of the status of teachers and all executives in the sector, said the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.

“The government, since its investiture, has promised to place the education sector among its priorities by providing the necessary credit and means to make it a professional and profitable sector,” said Akhannouch in a statement to the press after the signing ceremony of the minutes of the agreement on unified status for all civil servants in the sector.

“Thanks to the dialogue started a year ago, we have reached a result that will allow us to work comfortably for at least three or four years,” he said.

According to the Head of Government, “interest in the teacher is the keystone to achieving an education system that Moroccans want for their children”.
